The Many Categories of Italian Baking.

Mike's Specialties include an astounding array of baked goods. While Mike's specializes in traditional Italian delicacies, it provides a long list of American-apple-pie-style favorites as well.

Understanding the vocabulary of Italian baking requires a some patience, and flexibility. The point I would like to make is that for any traditional Italian product, you will find dozens of variations. For the casual browser, an overview is provided. For those who can tolerate minute details, we have those too - just click on the links (either on the left, or as you read on below) provided and dive in.

"Dolci", or "sweets" fall into these general Categories. Examples are provided for illustration: Please remember, this site is under construction, and will include HUNDREDS of items!
